I'm in love with a silent promise,
A forgotten thought,
A simple misleading,
Something that's naught.

Empty dreams,
Your only offering,
Slimmer of hope,
Worth discarding.

The pledge of your touch,
The notion of an embrace,
A trapped memory,
The picture of your face.

A forlorn secret
And endless night,
Dawn of darkness,
Forbidden flight.

I'm in love with a silent wish,
A promised concept.

Unwanted illustrations,
In an untainted list.

A make believe,
A fairy tale,
A story-less act,
your performance,
Painted abstracts.

I'm in love with a gentle misunderstanding,
Broken whispers of expectation commanding.

I'm in love with nothing big and something small,
In love with everything, means loving nothing at all
Soft-spoken words in an unknown melody
All my heart pounding for a delusion that may never come true.

I'm in love with an unattainable madness,
A unattainable love,
The deepest of sadness.

I like the passion prevalent in your poetry, but would like to see you try something in free verse. Oftentimes, rhyme gets in the way of a message (not that it does in any of your works).

Don't get me wrong, it's not BAD to rhyme, I just think that rappers have given rhyming a bad name. :)

Here are a few of the older poems in my gallery:

You can see that I don't write for the masses, nor do I feel the same way most people do. ;)

I don't really "write for the masses" myself but i somehow tend to connect with people thru writing. Question though : what's a Haruspex?

- Jill
:icondecarabia69:
A Haruspex was a Roman priest who practiced divination (fortune-telling) using the entrails of small animals. It's sort of like reading tea leaves, but much more vicious.

That sounds quiet chilling. Do they cut the animal open when its alive?

Yes, I think that was part of the ritual.
