The music plays a beat,
step by step we move our feet.
beat by beat we step along,
head's a buzzing, i know this song.
You move gently,
for someone who claims not to dance.

I still can't believe,
the moment you stopped,
and looked me in the eye.
You stretched out your hand,
i gave you mine,
a simple whisper,
- all that was needed,
said you were mine,
never believed,
a single sentence could stop all time.
"dance with me"

Mumbled it really,
command more than a question.
What else could I do?
How could you know I was so in love with you?

Step by step, we move our feet,
Scurrying along, moving to the beat.
My heart's in time with yours,
More feelings than I could ever cause.

Music flows, continues to play,
As the two of us,
in a crowded room,
Alone,
Dance the night away.

and then i wake up to find,
dreams are not so fine,
this imagination of mine.
it was not meant to be,
you were never intended for me.

you put 'm' instead of 'me'

awesome, I could never explain a single moment so well, your words allow the reader to see exactly what you see. I love it. i also love the author's comment.
